“Giovani nel Mondo” Association has been planning and organizing since 2010 the “Rome Model United Nations (RomeMUN)”, an educational program, set in Rome at Luiss Guido Carli University and organized with the contributions of eminent UN bodies based in Rome (FAO, IFAD, WFP), aimed at teaching college students as well as high-school students and recent graduates the inner workings of the United Nations Organization. The conference is one of the biggest in Europe and the one with the biggest numbers of scholarships available for deserving candidates in the world.
The next edition of RomeMUN conference, which will be held in Rome from the 13th to the 17th of March 2014, will be the fifth in a row; the number of delegates who are going to take part in the event as well as the number of committees that are going to be represented are increasingly growing: more than 1500 delegates are expected to be present.
In the last edition, RomeMUN hosted 1000 delegates coming from 110 countries and 5 continents who represented the UN member states in seven different UN committees. RomeMUN has reached this incredible results in terms of number of delegates and variety of nationalities thanks to a network of around 230 RomeMUN ambassadors who promote all over the world the conference in their respective universities and MUN networks and clubs.
